I researched more than 10 schools and no other international numbers came close to the number RIT has.
They do a lot to help the school and they don't party like other universities' greek lives, but they do have their problems every once in a while.
It is an integrated part of the community and used to build a sense of unity, but it is not forced upon you if you're not into it.
I never joined a sorority but many of my friends did. I know they all have a love and hate relationship with their sorority/fraternity due to time consuming, work overload, and etc. But they love it because they give to the community and connections.
I am not an athlete student but the sports life in RIT is powerful especially RIT hockey team! The hockey games are always fun. I love the corner crew section.
The intramural and club sports are also popular in a way. I played in the Deaf Basketball Association and I had the time of my life. My team won 2nd place in the finals!
RIT is really big on Hockey. The hockey games receive a tremendous amount of support from staff, students and people within the community. The school spirit is also great to see everyone dressed in school colors on days of the games. The facilities to workout, are nice and easy to access. Also intramural sports are also important at RIT, and a great amount of students participate in them.
